When is Ramadan in India?

InshaALLAH, In India, the very first fast of Ramadan 2017 will be observe on Sunday, 28th May. So, moon crescent of Ramadan 1438 Hijri can be seen easily by naked eye in the evening of 27th May 2017 across India if weather remains clear. But it is also highly expected that Hijri Committee of India followers will observe 1st day of Ramadan 2017 on Saturday, 27th May because of slight chances of crescent visibility in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. When Does Ramadan Start In India

Indian People observe the first day of Ramadan month by following Hijri Committee of India and by Local Sighting of moon crescent. Thus each year, the probability of variation in starting date of Ramadan exist and may vary city-to-city, state-to-state. Though it can not be announce exactly in much advance because of the lunar calendar. It is highly recommended that you should get in touch with your local mosque to ensure when will be the first Ramadan in your area and double check the prayer and sehr-o-iftar timings.

Islam is the second largest religion of India, having 172 million muslims which makes 15% of the entire India population. Ramadan is also pronounced as "Ramazan", "Ramzan", or "Ramadhan" in India. So that make us help them. by fasting, we learn to be patient and to control our self and our body. during this month of Ramadan, Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said, the doors of the Heaven are open and the doors of the hell are close, and the devils are chained. This helps us to see ourselves as we really are, not under the influence of unseen evils forces.
