When is first day of Ramadan in United Arab Emirates?
UAE is a Muslim country with around 9.5 Million followers of Islam. Having Dubai, Abdu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Ajman as largest cities by population. On the evening of May 16th, Ramadan crescent moon can bee seen easily by naked eye and optical aid across UAE. So InshaALLAH, Ramadan 1439 first day will start from Thursday, May 17. While, the last day of Ramadan Mubarak in UAE will be on June 14, as it follow its neighbour country; Saudi Arabia, for hijri dates.(Dates are yet to be confirmed by Moon Sighting Committee.)

Despite thousand of Europeans and non-Muslims living the United Arab Emirates’ the official religion there is Islam. Ramadan changes the outlook of UAE to a greater extent. It makes the people there more concerned and socially oriented. The affections between social group increases because Islamic gatherings are held more frequently during this blessed month of Ramadan. Muslim enjoys breaking fast together and catches up some time together to remember Allah in the congregation. There are large tents, near the mosques, on the main roads or local streets where affluent Muslim gathers to distribute free meals (iftar) to those who could not afford.

And a name of few random countries visitors checking currently include; Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.

Although now similar Ramadan activities are quite popular among the majority of the Muslim countries but in UAE specifically this ritual is carried out regularly with a great passion for helping the poor ones of the society. Ramazan has also a great influence on the working patterns of the workers. The working hours gets reduced by 2 hours during Ramadan month, which allows the workers to relax and take a nap during the day time when temperature is expected to be unusually high.
